77/365 clouds
Clouds are part of my camera eye. Always looking for great clouds.
Take time to contemplate a cloud, I always say. It is a good thing to do.
I love dark looming clouds, where the sky might turn yellow, and you know that rain is on its way. I have always had an affection towards rain clouds, since I was a kid.
The big puffy white ones are fun to look at, and see what you may see -- a dragon perhaps, or a face. A bird in flight.
Flying above the clouds is a nice turnabout. Looking down on a blanket of clouds.
In my novel, Octavia, the main character, is told she has "cloud eyes" -- the shapes of clouds in her irirses. I've seen eyes like that.

400!
This is my 400th post. When I started this blog in the fall of 2008, I could never have predicted keeping up with it for this long. I spent a good portion of my life writing in journals, and keeping everything very private... then for the past several years that kind of writing started to cease. But I discovered a different avenue for my writing, and so much more, in this thing called blogging. I didn't have anyone following me for the longest time, and then slowly, my following built up, and in indeed I follow a lot of blogs myself. It is a great enjoyment for me to go perusing the blogs.
I want to thank all of you who follow me, and those of you who visit regularly, and leave me comments. It means the world to me.
I look forward to another 400 to come.

mild winter
Except for one freezing day a couple of days ago, the weather has been unbelievably mild. In the 50's today. Last year at this time we were set for blizzards and such. Still a couple of months of winter left, so I wonder what will be? Any snow in the future?
Here was tonight's sunset. You can just see how mild a day it was.

coffee and sunrise
This morning I woke at 4am. Then I saw my best friend, evie, come online at 5am. She suggested we have coffee and watch the sunrise. She lives across the hall from me, so she has an East view, whereas I get the sunset with the West view. Evies windows don't open right now because she had to put a stick in the top to keep it from falling down. We have pitiful windows in this apartment house. They are double-paned, and not air-tight, so condensation builds inside of them, and the windows always look dirty.
I took this photo through one of evie's better windows. Mind you, it is taken behind 2 panes of glass and a screen, so that's why it's not too clear. So, for a change, here's today's sunrise.

autumn's on her way
Last night the wind started to change. It gusted and roared, and pushed all of that dreaded humidity away! Today it is a fabulous 58F, and I can feel that beautiful season of Autumn arriving.
