the results

I wish I could say these are the results of a horse race, or something fun like that.  Today I went to see the surgeon, and found out I indeed have breast cancer in my right breast.  It is staged very low, and I know I will be alright.  I take a lot of strength from my niece, Melissa, who just went through all this.  I have a large support system with my family and friends, and even here online.

I will keep you updated on my journey.

  2. You certainly have all of my support and prayers Barbara. I've lost a wife and significant other to cancer and my children's mother is a double mastectomy survivor. Kick its ass girl.

  4. The key is catching it in the beginning stage, which you have, so that is good news. Focus on the good. Keep your good attitude. Prayers and hugs sent your way.

  5. Hang in there, Barbara. You caught it early and since Melissa comes from the same line you do, look to her and see you can come through this ok. My offer still stands. If you need anything I can help with, let me know. Linda

  6. Good luck with the next stage of this battle.

We have a close friend who is only a few weeks into this battle - so I have some small insight into what going on.

    Early is good!
